SCIENCE FICTION by D.F.Zyssup
Introduction
I've decided to pre-empt any Charles Manson-ic attempt by James Holmes to capitalize on the true story(horror) from the Dark Night Massacre of July 2012 by writing my own science fiction story based on a nightmare dream I had on July the 27th of 2012.  If you're like me
you despise murderers such as him and wish he would die by lethal injection,
capital punishment.
I woke up this morning after having a strange dream of a world he was immersed in where reality and AI(artificial intelligence) were integrated into his brain in a future world that has tamed aggression and expedited all commerce by inputing data into the "sweet spot" a small area on the front part of the cerebellum where the "bud" of cerebrum has ontogenically/evolutionarily transformed our set number of animal chromosomes into a new form of human animal consciousness.
Mind you, he does not deserve a life in prison and certainly not these more satiating liberal
forms of future neuro passification.

Chap1 - The Year 2094 ANIP World

It's eighty two years into the future.  Everything technology based has worn out the "version number" system of naming new versions of improved products.  Instead companies have begun using the term "Advanced" to describe their improvements, especially in the field of nanobio technologies.   Non-invasive surgery is called ANIP (advanced non-invasive procedure).
They tried putting the NBprocessor into the visual cortex, the amigdala the hippo campus and several other locations until they found the overall best place to put it.   Now travelling customer transactions are nearly instantaneous.  Some of the travels are in the virtual world only.   It has become an avenue often traversed by the worst, most aggressive  of  the human species, jail inmates.   Prisoner "general population" is a thing of the past whereas isolation is the general rule.
The smell of burning hair comes to mind as one simple failure of our minimalist reform strategies to end such rampages that lead to death sentences or lifelong incarceration for such perps.  Excerpt from OurPosterityRecovey.blogspot,  "LIFE, in Liberty.
No political party leader accept me has spent years focusing on one of the
most serious problems that faces us today and will grow more serious as technology
advances. It is the seemingly spontaneously combusting, disgruntled shooting
rampager. After analyzing it for years I have discovered that the larger portion
of rampagers are suffering from a significant Grief/Loss. Most of these losses are
recorded by government authorites for example: A death in the family, Job Loss,
and Divorce . For some time I felt that since these recorded life changing losses
are recorded by the government that when one occurred a red-flag could go up.
The government could then offer help with transportaion vouchers or gasoline for
a person newly looking for a job after losing one, as one example.
I wanted to start a nonprofit organization called GLMR-for Grief and Loss
Mitigation/Research. I've found that Laws governing Nonprofits do not allow
"greatly influencing legislation". It would be too much an aegis of
Big Brother/The Government watching us, anyhow. The ZERO PLAN would
I am certain greatly mitigate this societal and somewhat economic problem more than any offer of help from a Social agency.
" .  Our civilization has developed "writing" technology.  Palimpsests, parchment washed off, reused or todays closest equivalents recycled writing paper, newspaper and blogs.   Our knowledge is increasing or it should be as we record ideas.  Every person including janitors and line cooks may contribute to the knowledge base with sparks of ideas if we can get say, more people blogging.  Computers have been developed to break coded messages since World War II that would have taken months to decipher.  More heuristic, human minded computer programs and hardware are winning on the complex TV gameshow Jeopardy, are the top chess masters of the world and are still improving.   I've seen a desktop computer make file icon associations independently (the information was never put into the computer) among other things.  As for the "burning hair",  computers may be used to make e-text handbooks for everything drawing from the vast databases of public online information.   One thing they'll have included in the handbook for patrol officers of law enforcement will be a chapter on the use of the senses' olfactory.   For example, if a patrol officer while traversing down any roadway detects the smell of burning hair he would close in on the location and make a note of the address where the odor was coming from.  The reason being that if a person were to secretly kill another person and attempt to dispose of most of the body by burning it,  a strong smell of burning hair would likely come from that location.
In the future "information" sharing and tooling, people and computer utilization, may be the "wonders" of progress that are the most reformative of our amelioration efforts to halt
the insane things that occur in our civilization.  And, it still is a major problem in the World today.
A year ago ,about at this same time of year, they were still still talking about a shooting
rampage that happened in Sweden.
Yesterday, Sunday August 5 there was a rampage that killed 7 people at an east indo-temple.
